University students will obviously realize that there is a reason behind the unfair HECS fees. This reason is social engineering where some worthy students are denied the opportunity of a higher education because they cannot afford it. Other students may feel elated because their parents are able to support them into a privileged position in society but perhaps thay might review their opinion once they realize that they are being made mugs of!
What they may not realize is that an amount approximately to their HECS accumulating debt, approximately $5,000 per annum, is being stripped from them by a tiny bunch of criminals who run this country (Australia). That's right about $100/week or $14/day is being "stolen" from them by the crudest of means. Essentially what they do is conduct these monstrous (sometimes billion dollar) frauds on the Australian Stock Market (ASX) with the assistance of all the government "watchdog" authorities, politicians of every stripe (even "independents") and the media.
If anyone has any doubt that such a conspiracy can take place one only has to look at the fuel industry where petrol is price-gouged routinely! However, this conspiracy concerning the manipulation of the stock market is a lot more costly to the average Australian citizen! In fact I believe that this particular "CBD set" crime is about ten times more costly than petrol price-gouging.
Basically what occurs is that the larger corporations have their share-price manipulated by media pressure in concert with any other institution(s), or person(s), which will assist in the fraud. So high-profile is this scam now that its colloquial name, "the overseas part of the company in trouble trick", is deficient as "they" (the "CBD set") recently ran this trick with. Telstra . Anyone who can suggest a better name for this scam will be awarded a prize!
